Martin Dale Seedlings has been growing Pine for local timber farmers for more than 22 years.  Being SGASA(Seedling Growers Assosciation of South Africa) accredited means that we ensure that all the correct procedures and systems are enforced to ensure that quality is the no 1 priority.  This has become of utmost importance with the occurance of Pine Fusarium in South Africa.  SGASA works very closley with FABI and has a Pine Fusarium working group that is involved with research in this field.

Pines are grown in a model 128 deep tray for strong root developement.

The following species are commonly grown in the area:

Pinus Elliottii

Pinus Patula

Pinus Greggii

Other varieties are produced as well on request.

We do produce a small amount each season on spec but it is recommended you place an order to avoid being disapointed.  Pinus species need approx 6 months in the nursery so planning is critical.  In the Tzaneen and Haenertsburg area the planting season falls between October and March.
