Begonias are very versatlie they do well in flower beds, hanging bowls, containers and even as indoor plants.  They flower almost all of the time and can be grown year round but will not survive frost.  They can be brought indoors before frost and placed outside again when the last frost has occured. 

Position:    Sun to shade in a rich and fertile soil with good drainage.

Spacing:    20 - 30cm

Disease and Pests:

Begonias are quite resistant to disease and pests.  Overwatering can lead to disease, treat with a general fungicide.


Feed once a month with a general fertilser like 2.3.2.  Deadheading will promote more flowers and a healthier plant.
