Celosia is also known as "Cockscomb " and "Woolflower". They are noted for their brilliant plumes of flower. Celosia do well in borders and as edging. They cannot handle frost.
Position: Full Sun in a rich soil with lots of compost and well drained.
Spacing: 20 - 30cm
Disease and pests:
Celosia don't suffer too much from disease and pests although occasionally aphids can be found on the leaves and stem. Treat with a suitable insecticide.
Feed with a general fertilizer once to twice a month. Celosia like a slightly moist soil. Pinch off the first flowers to promote branching and more thicker flowers.
Mix, red, yellow, and orange.
