Botanical Name - Apium Graveolens Rapaceum.

Celeriac is grown for it's large root that looks like a turnip.

Position: Full sun but will tolertae light shade.  Likes a lot of compost before planting and add every few months.

Uses:

Celeriac is quite bitter in taste so the key is to peel or slice just before using as it turns brown quickly.  Add to boiling water as this helps to reduce the bitterness.  The leaves are used fresh for a gentle celery taste in salads etc.

Celeriac is a heavy feeder so feed every 2 weeks with 2.3.2 or Multikelp. Water if conditions are dry.
