Botanical Name - Lippia Citriodora.

Position - Full sun, will not survive frost so is best to grow in a container so that you can bring the plant in during cold spells.

Uses -

Use instead of lemon zest in recipes.  The leaves are very tough so chop finely.  If dried it should be crushed before use.  Bury 6 lemon verbena leaves in a cup of sugar and seal.  Use this sugar to top muffins etc.

Internally Lemon Verbena can be used to treat feverish colds.  Externally the herb can be used to treat acne, boils and cysts.

Care -

Water often, keep soil moist.  Cut back at the end of the growing season.  Feed monthly with 2.3.2 or Multikelp.
