Disease and pests -

Lots of insects love dahlias.  Slugs and sucking insects, most notably red spider  and mites can be a real problem.  Use appropriate insecticides to treat.  Treat any disease early with a general fungicide.

Care -

Dahlias are easy to grow.  They are heavy feeders so feed regularly with a fertilizer high in nitrogen like Multisol "N".  Pinch back stems to promote thicker bushes.  Dahlias will die in heavy frost.
