Description
INSTRUCTIONS
- Fill polystyrene tray with supplied Growing medium(fill loosely don’t
compress medium) - Close the remaining bag to seal the moisture in for later use in pots
- Water well with clean water until each pocket is wet
- Place 1 seed per pocket in the middle of the pocket. We advise that you sow one
variety per line ie: 4 seeds per row. This will allow you to sow 4 of each variety - Lightly sprinkle some more growing medium over the top to just cover the seed
- Mark your labels with permanent marker and place them on the side of each row in
the last pocket. - Give a light spray of clean water
- Place the tray in a safe area with natural light. (avoid direct sunlight)
- Keep the tray moist by applying a light spray of water a few times a day making
sure to keep the seed moist but not over wet - After seeds have germinated you keep up the same water application
- Once all plants are growing, start adding fertilizer to your water once a week
- Give one fertilizer application per week
- In between fertilizer use clean water
- You can now move your tray to direct sunlight.
- Add 1 gram of fertilizer to a spray bottle with 1 litre of water and shake well to mix
Tip: 5 grams = 1 teaspoon (use 1/5 of a teaspoon per litre) - When plants can pull out of the tray with all the growing medium attached they are
ready to be potted up - Fill pots with Growing medium – remember not to compress the medium and fill
loosely. - Water pots and trays well
- Gently pull plants out of the tray and plant them into pots – you can push them from underneath
if difficult. - Place pots into saucers and place them in a sunny spot.
- Mark labels with a permanent marker and place them in the pot.
- Plant your seedlings level with the medium in the pot, don’t bury too deep or too
high. - Keep up the water and fertiliser (fertilise once per week)
- Clean tray with water and sun-dry for future use
- Store the seed in a fridge in a sealed container
